Funeral services for Newcastle resident Edna M. Silbaugh, 82, will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 17th at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Eric Parker officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions to the P.E.O. Sorority, Chapter AG scholarship fund.
Mrs. Silbaugh died Monday, March 12th at Weston County Health Services.
Edna was born November 16, 1924 at Manchester, Iowa the daughter of Francis G. and Edna M. Dorman Gosling. She was a 1942 graduate of St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa nursing program with a degree in nursing.
Edna was a member of First United Methodist Church, 21st Century Club, P.E.O. Sorority, Chapter AG; Weston County United Fund, Weston County Library Board, and Newcastle Country Club.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Jennifer Silbaugh, David Norma Silbaugh and Jeff Donna Silbaugh; daughter Mary Ellen Vaughn Chamberlain; daughter in law Cindy Silbaugh. Also surviving are one brother Francis Mickey Gosling; one sister Barbara Bert Holvik; ten grandchildren Jason, Carey, Derek, Jessica, Brian, Jessica, Samantha and Kate, Mike and Mandy. Also surviving are ten great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one son Dan Silbaugh.
