Edna LaCasse

Edna.LaCasse age 82, a resident of Shelby Township for 38 years, passed away September 3, 2014 in Troy, Michigan. She was born April 15, 1932 in Baxter, Tennessee. Edna enjoyed reading and gardening. Her favorite reading topics are crime and history. She also enjoyed collecting porcelain figurines and glassware art. Edna was a very outgoing person who enjoyed a good conversation with any person she would meet. Her friends describe her as quite a "hoot". Edna was a very loving and mother figure who often reached out to many in her life. Edna is the beloved wife of the late Gerald. She married Gerald October 20, 1951 in Detroit. Loving mother of Greg Barbara and Joseph Dianne. Dear grandmother of Jessica Dan Helman, Leah LaCasse, Gina Nick Brock, Kevin LaCasse, and Thomas LaCasse and great-grandmother to Bode and Bryn Helman.. Sister of Billy Bruce and David Lisa Bruce. Aunt of Laura Bruce. She is also preceded in death by her parents Pinkney and Beatrice Bruce Visitation Saturday from 5-8 PM and Sunday 2-8PM at the Wm Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, 3 Blocks East of Van Dyke Utica, Michigan 48317. Funeral service Monday 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor William Lawrence officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
