In Donna’s own words…
Donna was born at home, in an oil field camp in Osage, Wyoming, and was the youngest of three children. Donna said “I had a loving family all my life. I loved being outside, and so I became my dads’ oil field helper.”
Donna attended school in Upton, Wyoming. She met and married a wonderful man, Ted Elliott, and they were married sixty-three years. Their marriage began on a ranch, until the service became mandatory, and Ted joined the Air Force for four years. Three daughters, Pam, Theoda and Londa were born, and their family was complete. After the service, they made the ranch home, with their loving family.
Donna helped with all of the ranch work, and was a pumper in the oil field for Teddy during his time as a county commissioner. She belonged to Daughters of the Nile, Jobs Daughters, and served as Worthy Matron in Eastern Star. Donna was a secretary for the county Farm Bureau for two years. And last, but not least, she played bass guitar for the Western Ramblers for fifty years!
In later years, Donna said “We moved to town, still surrounded by loving family and friends.”
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Hazel Morgan; brother, Pete Morgan Jr., sister, Mere Lingle; two daughters, Londa Elliott and Theoda Burleson; two grandchildren, “Little” Mike Burleson and Nakala Burleson, and her husband, Ted.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Oleson; three grandchildren, Brandon Oleson (Andrew Windish), Melissa Houser (Steve Haynie), and Dawnyell Burleson; four great-grandchildren, Kristjan (Kiwi), Oleson, Kalyn Houser (Carl Sims), Alyssa Houser (Payton Parks), and Ezra Anderson; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kemery and Kayva Oleson.
