Dolores Throm

Dolores Kathleen Throm, age 78, a resident of Troy for the past 12 years, formerly of Madison Heights, died May 24, 2010 at her home. She was born March 8, 1932 in Menominee, MI. Ms. Throm was a homemaker and she loved cats, birds and dogs. She is survived by her sons, Donald Patty Shaffer of Northville and Larry Carol Shaffer of Warren; brother, Richard Fletcher of Colorado; and grandchildren, Eric, Zachary and Sean. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leno and Lauretta Fletcher; and siblings, Clifford Fletcher, Marion Dye and Dorothy Douville. There will be a committal service Thursday 11 a.m. at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley, with the Rev. Dale Hunter officiating. Memorials to the charity of the donor's choice appreciated.
