Also survived by many nieces, nephews and many close relatives.Denise graduated from Eastern Michigan in 1973 devoting her entire career to Information Technology. She realized a passion for teaching and started a career in education at Macomb Community College in 1983. She served the college through multiple facets to include committee memberships and administrative positions. She was instrumental in getting the Security Program accredited by the IASP at MCC. She touched many lives as an educator and will be missed by colleagues, friends, and students. Visitation at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Rd. 3 Blks E. of Van Dyke Utica Tuesday 5:30 -9pm and Wednesday 12noon- 9pm with rosary 7pm
Instate Thursday 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Church 40501 Hayes Btwn 18-17 Mile Sterling Heights until time of Mass 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.In lieu of flowers family is requesting donations to Macomb Community College Foundation-Denise Miarka Scholarship Fund 14500 E. 12 Mile Warren, MI 48088
