David Ninowski

NINOWSKI, David Joseph of Westland, MI. Age 49. Died November 17, 2007 after a 4-1/2 year battle with esophageal cancer. Devoted husband of Donna for 20 years. Loving father of Jennifer, David and Dane, and grandfather to Rylee Payne. David is also survived by his mother, Barbara Diles and father, Charles Lynn Ninowski and his sons, Steve Kathy Ninowski, Larry Ninowski, Scott Wedemeyer and Eric Cristy Wedemeyer. Son-in-law of Charles the late Dorothy Dubauskas. Nephew of Mickey Dan Barr, Donna Greg Lenar, Ann Schrader, Olga Bert Show and Jim Judy Ninowski. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and his loyal dog, Gunny. David ran a family business and worked as a carpenter/builder. He played semi-pro football in Grand Rapids and was inducted into the Michigan USFTL Amateur Football Hall of Fame in 2003. He competed in several Port Huron to Mackinac sailboat races. He was a musician, enjoyed jazz and classical music, golf and skiing. He was a CYO and City League baseball coach and a St. Damian Booster. He played in the St. Damian MenÆs Softball League until they retired his jersey, #14. Memorial visitation Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007 from 2-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak. Memorial Mass Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Damian Catholic Church, 30055 Joy Rd., Westland.
