McALEER, DAVID R. age 44, passed away peacefully after a long illness at Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility where he had resided for 10 years. David graduated with honors from Centerline High School and Detroit Institute of Engineering. He was employed with A-Phase II Co. in the Engineering Dept. until his illness prevented him from working. He was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis some 25 years ago. He loved to listen to music, play cards and watch movies and all sports on TV. His family and his caregivers say they will greatly miss his sense of humor and the fact that he never lost it despite his health problems. Beloved brother of Rosemarie Edward Bluthardt, Susan Brown, Melinda Gary Wiegand, Diana Patrick Rineer, Nancy Noth and Tina Drury. He was pre-deceased by his parents David and Madeline Bayer McAleer and brother in laws Robert Brown and Robert Drury. He was a loving uncle to 9 nieces, 13 nephews, 17 great nieces and 15 great nephews. He is also survived by many loving cousins and special friend Liane Ehrke and Jeff Rineer.
