Curtis Beck

Curtis Herbert Beck age 84 of Southgate, Michigan passed away January 2, 2013. He was born December 5, 1928 in Marshall, North Carolina. For over 40 years he was employed with J & L Steel, formerly McLouth Steel, in Detroit. He enjoyed woodworking, following and watching the St. Louis Cardinals, Blue Grass Music and gardening in North Carolina. He is survived by his daughter, Vicky Martin Ruthkosky, grandchildren Wesley J. Shannon Beck, Daniel Martin Laura and Samantha Kay Ruthkosky and great grandchildren, Evan and Sydney Beck, Declan Crawley-Ruthkosky and his sister, Alma Briggs He is predeceased by his wife, Levonda, 3-12-2002 son Jeffrey surviving wife Joyce and his parents Millard & Esther nee Nelson. Visitation Saturday 1-9 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. Utica, Michigan. Visitation Monday, January 7, 2013, 2:30-8 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Funeral Service, 7626 Hwy 213, Mars Hill, North Carolina.
