Cleatus Nanney

Cleatus Franklin Nanney, age 83, a resident of Sterling Heights since 1981, died May 2, 2010 at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy. He was born April 27, 1927 in Murray, KY. Mr. Nanney was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He worked for Chrysler Automotive for 32 years. He loved country music and was declared a professor of it. He is survived by his wife, Nita J. Allen, whom he married July 24, 1950 in Mississippi; children, Doyle F. Sharon Nanney of Clinton Township and Kimberly Bobbie Nanney-Parris of Lapeer; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Minnie Nanney; and sister, Pearline McPherson. The visitation will be held Wednesday 5-9 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. The service will be Thursday 1 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, with the Rev.
