Claud Schneider

Graveside services for Claud Schneider, 82, of Yucaipa, CA will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, May 23rd at Greenwood Cemetery in Newcastle, Wyoming with Rev. Mick Bohn officiating. Worden Funeral Directors of Newcastle are in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Schneider died Friday, May 16th at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 10, 1925 at Newcastle, Wyoming the son of William C. and Alameda Bell Schneider. As a young boy, Claud and his brother Harold Schneider, aka "The Schneider Boys" told stories of riding the coal train to a nearby town and going swimming. Claud and his family enjoyed camping for many years in his truck and camper. Even one Thanksgiving was celebrated in the camper. Claud lived in the mountains of California where he went on long walks with his dog Duke. In his later years he still enjoyed walking his dog Maggie. Claud enjoyed simple pleasures like having a barbeque with family and playing cards. Especially when he would win he would say "it was like taking candy from a baby"! His daughters remember how he loved to eat good fish. Regular trips were made to the Casino for crab legs, and going with family and friends to a Long Beach, California pier for oysters was pure enjoyment. Claud loved life and the outdoors and most of all his family.

Claud was married to Rosalie Schneider for sixty two years. He had two daughters, Ellen Mitchell, Janet Bill Dexter, two grandsons, Michael Mitchell and Brent Dexter and two great grandchildren Christopher and Mikala. Also surviving him are two sisters, Florence Dobbs and Lois Wurtz.
