Clarence Collins, age 84, a resident of Royal Oak since 1950, died February 25, 2010 at Cherrywood Nursing & Living Center in Sterling Heights. He was born August 4, 1925 in Detroit. Mr. Collins was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran who served in the South Pacific. He retired from Detroit Edison in 1988. He is survived by his children, Thomas Collins of Mayville, Mark Collins of Troy and Roy Collins of Lapeer; siblings, Bill of Arizona and Beverly Paidosz of Ft. Myers, FL; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Collins, on November 10, 1999. There will be a memorial visitation Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Hazel Park.
