Charlotte Sommerfeld

Charlotte Sommerfeld, age 93, a resident of Royal Oak, died October 27, 2010 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born June 4, 1917 in Cleveland, OH. Mrs. Sommerfeld made her home in Royal Oak since 1948. She is survived by her children, Kathie Laurence Davies of Ortonville and James Cathy Sommerfeld of Royal Oak; grandchildren, Ian Davies, Evan Davies, Melissa Gresalfi and Amanda Sommerfeld; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Sommerfeld, in 1973. The visitation will be Friday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Sommerfeld will lie in state Saturday 10:30 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak. The burial will take place at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy. Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Lutheran World Relief appreciated.
