Cathy McMeekin

Cathy Kay McMeekin was born to Russell J. and Rose E. (Cullers) McMeekin on December 16, 1955 in Crawford, NE.

She attended grade school at Kitty Moats Elementary in Osage, then Upton High School in Upton, Wyoming, graduating in 1974. She went on to attend college at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington, Wyoming.

Following her education, she went to work for the Newsletter Journal in Newcastle, Wyoming and worked until 1994. She then went to work as a dispatcher at the Newcastle Police Department until her retirement in September of 2022 with 28.5 years of service.

Cathy passed away on October 22, 2022 at Weston County Health Services.

Cathy was survived by two brothers; Rodney L. McMeekin (Cyndi Crabtree) of Osage, WY and Gail V. McMeekin of Denver, CO. As well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Russell J. and Rose E. McMeekin.

There will be graveside services at the Greenwood Cemetery in Upton, Wyoming on October 31, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
