Macumber, Carolyn "Lynn". Age 84. October 26, 2013. Lynn was a longtime resident of Pleasant Ridge. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children; Phil Peggy, John Denise, David Char and Debbie Paul. She was the proud grandmother of 9; Troy Jaime, Brent Amber, Sean, Kyle Alyssa, Cally, Jessica, Andrew, Chris and Heather. Lynn was the great grandmother of 2; Jackson and Easton. She is also survived by a brother, John F. Thomas. She was predeceased by her husband, Calvin H., whom she married October 10, 1953; and her brother, Ralph Mary Elizabeth Thomas. Lynn graduated from the University of Connecticut Nursing School and was a nurse at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak for 25 years. Lynn loved her family and she felt her greatest accomplishment in life was having and raising a loving devoted family with her late husband Calvin. She traveled extensively showing the same enthusiasm for a family camping trip or a European tour. Lynn enjoyed participating in her many social clubs and volunteered regularly throughout her life. Visitation Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. 4 blocks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak. Instate Wednesday 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 529 Hendrie Blvd., Royal Oak.
