Carolyn Gabler

Carolyn M. Gabler nee Hagelstein, age 91, a resident of Royal Oak, died April 10, 2012 at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak. She was born August 11, 1920 in Big Beaver, MI to the late Howard and Esther Hagelstein. Mrs. Gabler was a 1938 graduate of Royal Oak High School and studied at Olivet College. She was the proprietor of Hagelstein's Bakery in Royal Oak. She was a member of the Oakland County Republican Party and a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Royal Oak. She also was involved with the P.E.O. throughout her life. She is survived by her children, Wallace F. Carol Gabler, III, John H. Patty Adams Gabler and Carolyn E. Gabler; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace F. Gabler, Jr., on October 9, 2009. The visitation will be Friday 12 noon until the time of the service 2 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak.
