Gullion, Carlesta Anne nee Geisel, age 83, of Royal Oak, passed away September 13, 2014. She was born September 20, 1930 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Wayne and Bartholda Geisel. Carlesta worked as a photographic color artist for 10 years with the Powell Studio, for over 15 years with the Bill Williams Studio in Royal Oak and finished her career with 10 years at the Leo Knight Studio. Carlesta enjoyed living a happy and interesting life. She loved studying American history, especially the history of the town of Williamsburg, Virginia. Carlesta's hobbies and passions included needle work, cooking, interior decorating and antiquing. Most of all she was a proud mother, very proud grandmother and loving aunt. Carlesta became a great fan of Notre Dame Football when her grandson Nathan decided to go to school at Notre Dame University. She was the beloved wife of the late William Gullion, whom she married on March 11, 1950 in Evansville, Indiana. Loving mother of Cindy Doug Gullion-La Ferle. Proud grandmother of Nathan Andrea La Ferle. Dear sister in law of Christine Gullion. Dear aunt of Beth Mike Gullion-Hill, Jennifer John Gullion-Brydell and Derek Melissa Gullion. Visitation Monday 5-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Funeral service Tuesday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery, Beverly Hills. Memorials to the American Heart Association or Boys & Girls Club of Oakland and Macomb Counties are appreciated.
