MERGAERT, Carl Louis. Age 81. Beloved husband Margaret. Dear father of Robert, Cheryl, Dan Sharon, and Michael Cindy. Proud Grandfather of Raymond, Daryl, Amanda, and Nick. Great Grandfather of Rhiannon, Eryn, Nicole, and Amber. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceeded in death by his sisters Grace and Jane. Mr. Mergaert serviced in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is retired from the Detroit Board of Education. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 9th from 3:00pm-9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral service Saturday, February 10th at 10:00 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road 3 blks east of VanDyke Utica. Memorials suggested to Hospice of Michigan, 1200 Stephenson Hwy, Troy, MI 48083.
