Carl Gustav Jungck, Age 84, Newcastle, WY

Carl Gustav Jungck was called home by his Lord on March 23, 2025, with his family near after a brave battle with dementia. Born on December 7, 1940, in Hay Springs, Nebraska, to Carl and Doris Jungck, Carl lived a life defined by faith, family, hard work, and service to his community.

On June 25, 1961, Carl married the love of his life, Wyoma Winter, in Rushville, Nebraska. Together, they shared a remarkable 63 years of marriage.

Throughout his life, Carl wore many hats, each reflecting his dedication and versatility. From his early days as a ranch hand and working at John Deere dealerships, to managing a NAPA store, serving with the United States Postal Service, Weston County Road and Bridge, and Rural Fire Trainer for State of Wyoming Forestry Division, Carl exemplified a tireless work ethic. His early volunteer work as a firefighter was a cornerstone of his life, leaving an indelible impact on those he served.

Outside of work, Carl found joy in his many hobbies, including fishing, camping, hunting, woodworking, coaching Little League, singing, and cooking. He was an active and beloved member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, where he sang in the choir and was renowned for his delicious onion hash brown breakfasts at men’s bible study. Carl’s passion for cooking extended to community events like the Wyoming Fire Academy Buffalo Hunt and the Weston County Fair BBQ.

Carl is survived by his devoted wife, Wyoma Jungck; his children, Brant (Juanita), Rose (Mike), and Carl Eugene (Ellen); his brother, John (Rita); sister, Barbara (Ron); sister-in-law, Juanita; and his cherished grandchildren: Rebecca (Mike), Tamara, Kyle (Rae), Patrick (Whittney), Stephanie (Neal), Jordan, Gideon (Terrian), and Karl Garrett. He was a proud great-grandfather to 16 great-grandchildren and an uncle to 6 nephews and 6 nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Doris; sister, Jane Beguin; brother-in-law John Musfelt; and his great-granddaughter, Emma Gavin.

Funeral services will be held on March 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Newcastle, Wyoming with Pastor Bert Eldredge officiating. Memorials may be given to Christ the King Lutheran Church.

Carl will be remembered for his unwavering faith, steadfast love for his family, and his selfless spirit. His legacy of kindness, resilience, and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
