Bruce Bishop

Bruce E. Bishop, age 78, a lifelong resident of Royal Oak, died Thursday, October 23, 2008, at his home. He was born March 18, 1930, in Detroit. Mr. Bishop was a graduate of Royal Oak Dondero High School and Michigan State University. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired in 1985 from General Motors, where he worked at the G.M. Tech Center. He enjoyed landscaping and was a friend to all. He is survived by his son, Robert Christine Bishop of Arlington Heights, IL; granddaughter, Jennifer Bishop; and siblings, Anna Dowdy, Dave Bishop, Al Bishop, Doug Bishop, Frank Bishop, Rick Bishop, Gil Bishop, Bob Bishop and Dan Bishop. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Bishop; and siblings, Bunny Bishop, Art Bishop, Helen Audretsch and Jean Moulton. Visitation Sunday 1-7 p.m. with service Monday 11 a.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. The Rev. Charles Sonquist will officiate. Burial will be at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak.
