Brigadier Dorothy E. Britton, age 94, a resident of Clawson, died June 14, 2010 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born May 3, 1916 in Detroit. Ms. Britton was born and raised in Detroit, and had 38 dedicated years to the Salvation Army. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Sheffield of Berkley; 7 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews; and 17 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and Harold Britton. The visitation will be Wednesday 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak, with Captain Monty B. Wandling and Reverend James Keller officiating.
