Betty Wood

Betty F. Wood, age 69, a resident of Berkley, passed away April 30, 2014 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born May 3, 1944 in Mayfield, KY to the late Joseph and Alice Ballard. Mrs. Wood worked at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak with the housekeeping department for more than 15 years. She loved her daycare and the children she watched, but especially loved her family. When there was the opportunity, she also enjoyed being outside and working in her yard. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Wood Sr. March 11, 2005; loving mother of Daniel Amber Wood Jr., Scott Muriel Wood, David Wood and the late Lisa Roybal November 1, 2008; dear sister of Ruby Schalk, Tommy Ballard, Glena Carlisle, Janice Oliver and the late Johnny Ballard, Chuck Ballard, Gerald Ballard, Joey Ballard, Donald Ballard and Lena; proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The visitation will be Friday 3-8 p.m. and service Saturday 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road 4 blocks E Woodward, Royal Oak.
