Betty Swindell

SWINDELL, Betty Jean, age 87, died April 21, 2014 at Wm. Beaumont Hospital, Troy, Michigan. She was born April 28, 1926 in Sarnia, Canada to the late Charles H. Nola Belle Enright. She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She was married to Joseph "Fred" Swindell for 64 years. Beloved mother of James E. Karen Swindell and the late Joseph "Charlie" Swindell. Proud grandmother of Alexa fiance Al Prosser Swindell, Jessica Mike Royalty, Jason Christa Swindell, and Christina Swindell. She lived in Detroit, Oscoda and Sterling Heights, before moving 38 years ago to Florida, where she loved it. She was a gracious, selfless, caring, sweet, generous, compassionate, and loyal woman. She loved to knit especially baby outfits and afghans, crafts and puzzles. After serving on a jury, she loved following the big trials from beginning to end on the television. There will be no services at this time. Inurnment will be at the National Veterans Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Arrangements by Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, Utica.
