Betty Rose

Betty Marie Rose, age 87, a 61-year resident of Royal Oak, died June 3, 2009 at her home. She was born February 7, 1922 in Jackson County, KY. Mrs. Rose loved her friends, gardening, going to church and her little yorkie, Katy Did. She is survived by her husband of more than 70 years, Manley Rose, whom she married September 7, 1938 in Eglon, KY; sons, Gary Mary Haire Rose of Warren and Kenneth Rose of Royal Oak; and sister, Bernice LoBuono. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Sue Rose; and brother, Kenneth Carpenter. The visitation will be Sunday 2-8 p.m. and the service Monday 11 a.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak, with the Rev. Everett Holloway officiating. The burial will take place at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak.
