Betty Hurst

Betty Jean Hurst, age 89, a resident of Royal Oak since 1951, passed away March 3, 2014 at Sunrise of Bloomfield Hills. She was born October 25, 1924 in Detroit. Mrs. Hurst loved to travel and visited every state in the union. She was the beloved wife of George A. Hurst; the couple married July 3, 1943 in Detroit; loving mother of the late James A. Hurst; mother-in-law of Betty Hurst; proud grandmother of Heather Tang, Tina Hurst and Jamie Hurst; and great grandmother of Brittany Tang and Timothy Hurst. The visitation will be Thursday 2-8 p.m. and service Friday 10:30 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Burial will take place at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy. Memorials to the Karmanos Cancer Institute or Alzheimer's Association are appreciated.
