Barbara Love

Barbara J. Love, age 73, of Royal Oak, passed away September 24, 2014 at her home. She was born October 2, 1940 in Detroit to the late Richard and Emma Snelling. Before moving to Royal Oak in 1976, Barbara also lived in Manila, Philippines, Naples, Italy, Norfolk, Virginia, and Chicago, Illinois. She worked as an office administrator for Cole Carbide Industries and Bally Fitness. She loved her grandchildren, pets and organizing her class reunions. Barbara was the loving mother of Justin Vander and Dina Eric Bansen; dear sister of Judy Bruce Bierce and the late Rick Snelling Jr.; Sister-in-law of Linda Snelling; and proud grandmother of Jack, Joseph and Joshua. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Sweetie and her cat, Sergei. There will be a memorial visitation on Sunday 3-6 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Inurnment at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy.
