Asuncion Aloot

Asuncion F. Aloot, age 92, a Madison Heights resident, died Sunday, October 19, 2008, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born August 15, 1916 in Baguio, Philippines. Mrs. Aloot was a graduate of the University of Santa Thomas in the Philippines. She was a secondary school teacher for the Detroit public schools, teaching business administration. She is survived by her children, Josephine Aloot, M.D. of Madison Heights, Darelene Aloot of San Francisco, CA and Lorenzo R. Aloot of Ann Arbor; and a brother, George. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo A. Aloot, on August 20, 1988. The couple were married April 7, 1951, in the Philippines; her parents, Valentino and Braulia Mirales Fallarme; and siblings, Benjamin, Carling, Dioning, Emilio and Valentino. Visitation Thursday 2-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. vigil service at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak.
