Arthur Warren

Arthur J. Warren, age 95, of Warren, formerly of Royal Oak, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at his home. He was born November 22, 1913, in Detroit. Mr. Warren lived in Royal Oak for more than 50 years and then moved in 1974 to Warren. He retired in 1974 from the U.S. Post Office in Royal Oak after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the E.T.O. He received two Purple Hearts with the Oak Leaf Cluster and Bronze Star medals. He is survived by his children, Shirley Marie Edward Duprey of Plymouth and Deborah Ann Meike of Warren; and grandchildren, Keith Vasquez and Andres Vasquez. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Warren, in 1988. The couple were married on June 5, 1948, in Pontiac. Visitation will be Thursday 2-8 p.m. and the service Friday 11 a.m. at Wm.
