Arthur Janiszewski

Arthur G. Janiszewski, age 88, a resident of Oxford, formerly of Royal Oak and Berkley, died March 25, 2012 at his home. He was born December 3, 1923 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Anna Janiszewski. Mr. Janiszewski retired in 1987 from Triple Tool after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, camping, deer hunting, gardening, traveling in his motor home and watching ball games. Beloved husband of the late Margaret M. Janiszewski for 58 years. Loving father of Carol Ann Kaiser, Alan Virginia Janiszewski, Diana Krupp, Barbara Richard Sawdon, Joseph Rose Janiszewski, John Deborah Janiszewski and Mary Kay Cavanaugh Shawn O'Brien. Proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren: Mark Kaiser, Karen Michael Rendine, Rick Janiszewski, Joseph Jennifer Janiszewski, Andrea Greathouse, Jason Sawdon, Racheal Gordon Maddill, Nicole Sawdon, Ryan Karly Sawdon, Tammy Janiszewski, Alicia Jason Fox, Joseph Janiszewski, Jr., Shannon John Weidle, John Janiszewski, Brandy Cavanaugh and Amanda Cavanaugh. Great grandfather of 23 great grandchildren: Logan, Ethan, Violet, Emily, Tory, Noah, Heidi, Stella, Ashley, Emily, Laney, Hailey, Maddlyn, Savannah, Faith, Evelyn, Sophia, Terrick, Jazmine, Hayden, Lauren, John Jr. and Gabrielle. Dear brother of Grace Woida, Florence Matuszak, Joe Marlene Janiszewski, Harold Pat Janiszewski and Harry Barb Janiszewski. Visitation Tuesday 2-9 p.m. and Wednesday 1-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary Wednesday at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. 4 blocks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mr. Janiszewski will lie in state Thursday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 3400 S. Adams Road, Auburn Hills, with the Rev. Richard Cavellier officiating.
