Arthur L. Iverson II, age 93, a resident of Troy for the last 53 years, formerly of Royal Oak, died July 18, 2013 at Regent Street Assisted Living in West Bloomfield. He was born February 25, 1920 to the late Arthur and Martha Iverson. Mr. Iverson was born and raised in Royal Oak and was a 1939 graduate of Dondero High School. He was a Ham operator from his youth and throughout much of his adult life. He worked at the Willow Run Bomber Plant as a radio technician on B-24 Liberators during WWII. He was employed at WDIV, Detroit from 1947 until his retirement in 1987. Mr. Iverson loved flying and had his private pilot's license. He also enjoyed working on antique cars. Beloved husband of the late Anne Marie Iverson died October 11, 2009; loving father of Carole Jan Burdzinski of Rochester Hills, Barbara Andre Dobbins of English, IN and Arthur JoAnne Iverson of Macomb; proud grandfather of Jennifer, Carrie, Kelly, Zachary and John; and great grandfather of Cassidy and Ethan.
