Armen Patchanian, age 80, a resident of Beverly Hills, died October 9, 2012 at his home. Mr. Patchanian also lived in Evanston, Park Ridge, IL, Royal Oak and Lathrup Village, MI. He was born November 4, 1931 in Chicago to the late Dr. G. H. Patchanian and Frances Wathley. He graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston and received his Bachelors degree in Business. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He worked at The First National Bank of Chicago and then in September 1965 came to the Chrysler Corp. in Highland Park to work in the pension department until he retired. He was very active in the Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak. He served as a Deacon, Elder and Trustee. He was an umpire/referee for baseball and flag football. He had over 200 clients for taxes for a number of years. He was the beloved husband of Dottie S. Patchanian; the couple married March 18, 1961 at the Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti, MI. Loving father of David Michael and Cheryl Lynn. Loving grandfather of Ashley Suzanne, David Michael Jr. and Austin Daniel. Dear brother of Lena Taft. Uncle to Donna and Bruce. The visitation will be Thursday 2-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mr. Patchanian will lie in state Friday 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Rice officiating.
