Antoinette "Tooney" Marie Orosz nee Benetti, age 96, a resident of Royal Oak, died May 29, 2013 at Lourdes Nursing Home in Waterford Township. She was born June 6, 1916 in Rend City, IL to the late Peter and Mary Benetti. Antoinette moved to Detroit after graduation from Valier Illinois High School. She and William S. Orosz were married August 22, 1936 at Santa Maria Catholic Church in Detroit. They were married 75 years until his death in April of 2012. She was a loving wife and mother, a wonderful homemaker, and a talented woman. She attended Highland Park Jr. College and earned an associates degree as a medical office assistant. She was a longtime member of the National Shrine of the Little Flower. She sang in the choir for more than 25 years and was also a member of the Resurrection Choir. Antoinette "Tooney" is survived by her children, Janice Walter DeNio, Catherine Clark Risley and William Jody Orosz Jr.; grandchildren, Brian Risley, David Rebecca Risley, Stephen Helen Orosz, Andrew Sonni Orosz and Matthew Kathleen Orosz; and great-grandchildren, William T. Orosz, Maxwell S. Orosz and Samuel A. Orosz. She was predeceased by her grandson, Michael Noonan. The visitation will be Friday 3-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Antoinette will lie in state Saturday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak. The burial will take place at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak.
