Annie Nielsen

Annie M. Nielsen, age 87, a 14-year resident of Royal Oak, formerly of Clawson and Bradenton, FL, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at the Sanctuary at Alexander in Royal Oak. She was born July 8, 1921, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Mrs. Nielsen was a World War II U.S. Coast Guard veteran. She retired from Consumers Power Co., where she worked as an executive secretary. She loved animals and enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening and watching TV. She is survived by her son, Dane Theresa Nielsen of Royal Oak; grandson, Jason Casey Nielsen of Las Vegas, NV; and great grandchildren, Austin Rogers, Dane C. Nielsen and Katie Nielsen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Niels P. Nielsen, in 1993; and sisters, Grace McAdams and Margaret Chabot. A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak, with Deacon Timothy Renaud officiating. Inurnment at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
