Anne V. Grimm Scott lost her long battle with cancer on May 13, 2013 at the age of 72. She was born in Farwell, MI, grew up in Royal Oak, graduated from Royal Oak High School and was a Kappa Kappa Gamma at Hillsdale College. Anne moved to Huntington Woods in 1977, where she founded The Scott Group and Temps by Scott. She was the first woman to chair the board of the Boys & Girls Club of South Oakland County, was president of the Royal Oak Chamber and served on the Wayne-Oakland Bank and Royal Oak Downtown Development boards. In 1987 she was named Royal Oak Citizen of the Year. In 1992, Anne was elected to the first of three 6-year terms as a trustee of Oakland Community College, and represented the college at the Michigan Community College Association and on the national Association of Community Colleges board. After a recent move to Clarkston, she became president of Pontiac Rotary and the Water's Edge Condo Association, and an elder in the Orchard Lake Presbyterian Community Church. Beloved mother of Andy Christie, Stephen, Michael Mimi Schutt and the late Jennifer Schutt. Loving grandmother of Morgan, Spencer, Deborah, Garrett, Brenna, Kathryn and Olivia. Proud great-grandmother of Hylan. Dear sister of Janet Grimm and Marybeth McElroy. Memorial visitation Thursday 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service 7 p.m. at the Wm.
