Anne Mettler

Funeral services for Anne Y. Mettler, 71, will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, April 4th at Upton United Methodist Church with Rev's. Joseph Spencer and Gene Hagerman officiating. Burial will follow in the Upton Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Worden Funeral Directors of Newcastle. Visitation will be Friday, April 4th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Upton United Methodist Church. The family asks that memorial contributions for the Upton Ambulance Fund.
Mrs. Mettler died Sunday, March 31st at Rapid Regional Hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota following a lengthy illness.
Anne Yvonne Mettler was born July 29, 1936 at Sturgis, South Dakota the daughter of Arthur V. and Helen V. Burton Sinkey. She married Bud Woods and the couple had two sons, Troy William and one whom died at birth. The couple later divorced. On November 19, 1966 she married Lewis Mettler in Rapid City, South Dakota and gained a daughter, Sherry Lou. They later added two more daughters, Mischelle Marie, and Teresa Yvonne. They lived in Upton, Wyoming where she enjoyed keeping house and raising their family.
Survivors include her son Troy Elizabeth Faye Mettler of Upton, and daughters Sherry Bob Cooper of Casper, WY, Mischelle Mettler of Upton and Teresa Adams of Upton. Also surviving are one brother Chuck Sinkey of Midland, one sister Neomia Locke of Upton; nine grandchildren and one great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband Lewis, one infant son, one brother Leo Sinkey.
