Anna Morey

Anna Marie Morey, age 92, of Berkley, passed away on January 17, 2013. She was born in Chicopee, Kansas, on January 18, 1920, to the late Marcus and Suzanna Morey. She attended Sacred Heart College now Newman University in Wichita, Kansas, in 1938. After completing her studies, she moved to Michigan in 1941, and worked in customer service at Michigan Bell until her retirement in 1984. Anna Marie enjoyed playing bingo and travelling. She made annual visits to her family home in Kansas, and enjoyed spending time with her extensive family. She was predeceased by her five siblings: Mark, John, Antone, Mary Margaret and Jerome. She is survived by 19 nieces and nephews; 36 great-nieces and -nephews; and 18 great-great-nieces and -nephews. The visitation will be Friday 3-9 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. In state Saturday 11:30 a.m. until time of Mass 12 noon at the National Shrine of the Little Flower, Royal Oak. Committal Service on Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Pittsburg, KS. The family gratefully acknowledges the care given by Margaret Wirth and Shelly Henke during Anna Marie's final years.
