Ann Marie Boman, age 80, a lifelong resident of Berkley, died March 27, 2012 at Wm. Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born April 16, 1931 in Berkley to the late Bert and Winifred Wells. Mrs. Boman graduated from Berkley High School in 1949. She worked as a Paraprofessional for the Berkley School District for many years and retired from Beaumont Health System after 13 years in the Medical Records Department as an Analyst. She was one of the original founders of the Berkley Moms Club Softball organization and a dedicated volunteer to both the Berkley Moms Club and Berkley Dads Club for many years. Mrs. Boman was true to her faith in God. She loved singing in the choir and pleasured all with her comforting voice of religious hymns. She was devoted to her family and cherished spending time with all of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid bingo player, loved to visit the casinos and enjoyed the daily crossword puzzle. She is survived by her husband, Keith A. Boman; the couple married July 13, 1949 in Angola, IN; children, Keith Carol Boman, Jill David Fons, Paul Renee Boman and Lisa David Baker; brothers, Robert Jeanetta Wells and Bert Doris Wells; 11 grandchildren, Bonnie Dan Graves Boman, Devon Jacob Syjud nee Baker, Garrett Fons, Becky Eric Olevenick nee Boman, Joshua Ashley Boman, Jessa Jason Matznick nee Baker, Courtney Ryan Sprague nee Fons, Jordan Boman, Brendan Fons, Jedmyn Baker and Karsyn Baker; and 16 great grandchildren, Samantha Youman, Masen Syjud, Wyatt Syjud, Ashton Matznick, Weston Syjud, Ivan Olevenick, Miles Syjud, Luca Matznick, Keagan Olevenick, Margaret Graves, Penelope Graves, Emerson Olevenick, Charlie Graves, Emmett Matznick, Bowen Sprague and Jack Boman. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Marie Boman; and brother, Donald Wells. The memorial visitation will be held Sunday, April 15th from 1-9 p.m. and memorial service Monday, April 16th at 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks.
