Angeline Skochelak

SKOCHELAK, Angeline Mary nee Hochstein died peacefully in her sleep at the Vincentian Home on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Pittsburgh, PA at the age of 84. Angie was born May 25, 1928 in Hamtramck, Michigan. In Michigan she lived in Interlochen, and Sterling Heights and then seven years ago moved to Pittsburgh, PA. She loved arts and crafts and was an avid painter. She worked with children as a volunteer in the Utica Community Schools for over 30 years where she was recognized with a Congressional Certificate of Appreciation for her service. Special thanks to Angie's friends, Nancy Leach, and Sister Lorraine, for the years of love and companionship. Thanks and gratitude to Heidi, Amy, and the wonderful staff at Vincentian home for seven years of compassionate care. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Skochelak. She is survived by children: Dr. Susan E. Dr. Michael Fleming Skochelak of Madison, WI; Sally A. H. Scott Cunningham of Wexford, PA; John W. Susan Skochelak of Interlochen, MI; and James D. Beth Skochelak of Saline, MI. Proud grandmother of Elizabeth, Isaac, Shelby, Eva, Stephen, Samantha, Sophie, David, and Noah. Visitation Friday 6:00 pm-8:00 pm and her funeral service will be celebrated Saturday 10:00 am at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road 3 blks east of VanDyke Utica.
