Alice Cunningham

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Alice Jane Cunningham, who passed away on November 29, 2024 at the age of 82. Born on April 21, 1942 in Appleton, WI. and grew up in Wisconsin. In 1958, she married Phil Warshall. To this union, Alice had 4 children, Dottie, Phil, David and Diane. She divorced and in 1970 married Robert Cunningham. To this union, Brenda was born. Alice was a dedicated and loving wife to her husband Robert and a devoted mother to her children. In 1970, the family moved to Wyoming and in 1984, Alice and Robert and children still living at home moved to Texas. In 2000, they moved back to Wyoming, where Alice resided for the remainder of her life.

Alice Cunningham lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for cooking and baking. In later years, Alice took up sewing and made many quilts for her children and grandchildren. She loved working with her hands and made diamond art pictures and painted ceramics. Alice spent her last years at Weston County Manor. She loved taking part in all the activities there - especially bingo.

She is survived by her children Dottie (Mark) Sylte in Newcastle, WY, Phil (LaNita) Cunningham in Pawhuska, OK, David (Marilyn) Cunningham in Kilgore, TX, Diane (Fritz) Cunningham Gafford in Livingston, TX, and Brenda (Steve) Bivens in Kingwood, TX., and 12 grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert and a grandson, Jackson Bivens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Weston County Health Services Foundation for scholarships for the Weston County Manor employees in memory of Alice Cunningham. Alice’s ashes will be buried next to her husband at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.

Rest in peace dear mother. You will be forever in our hearts and memories.
