Albert Ledbetter

LEDBETTER, Albert Q. Age 86, of Roscommon, died Sunday, February 25, 2007, at Hilltop Manor Health Care, Roscommon, Michigan. He was born in Livingston, Tennessee on April 8, 1920. He retired as a journeyman with Uni-Royal Tire Company. He served in the United States Army. He earned five bronze stars, the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon and the American Theatre Ribbon. He served on the U.S.S. KanKaKee and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He is survived by his children, Ruby Smutek of Sterling Heights, Betty Homer Gilliam of Warren, Robert Susan Ledbetter of Roscommon, and Roy Carole Ledbetter; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his wife of 62 years, Nora Dean she died 1998, and his parents, William and Ethel nee Moore Ledbetter. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28th from 2;00pm-9:00pm. His funeral service will be held on 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 1st at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, Utica, with the Reverend William C. Lawrence officiating. Burial will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
