ALBERT J. JANKOWSKI. age 65. A resident of Sterling Heights for the past 32 years, died Saturday, January 1, 2005, in St. Joseph's Mercy of Macomb Hospital, Clinton Township. He was born April 16, 1939, in Krasnybor, Russia. Mr. Jankowski had been employed 25 years as an electrical design release engineer for General Motors Corporation-Truck Group in Pontiac and was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church in Sterling Heights. He was a veteran of the United States Army served as Military Police. Also was also a graduate of St. Catherine's High School. he graduated in 1970 from the University of Detroit and later earned his master's degree from Wayne State University. He is survived by his wife, Susan nee Barton; sons, Michael of Sterling Heights and Jim Dawn of Atlanta; Daughters, Julie Kenneth Holtan of Franklin and Jennifer Robert Beatty of Clarkston; grandchildren, Isabel, Camille, Susan, Bryce, Genevieve, Bridgette, and Lilli; brother, Walter Kathy Jankowski of Macomb Township, and sister, Helen Gac of Chester Springs, PA. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday Mr. Jankowski will lie in state from 9:30am until mass at 10:00 am at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 12509 19 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, with the Reverend William C. Bonnici officiating. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. Visitation is Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm with a 7:00pm scripture service Wednesday at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, 3 blocks east of VanDyke Utica.
