Aileen Fernando

Aileen Fernando, age 79, a resident of West Bloomfield, formerly of Franklin, died May 3, 2010 at her home. She was born October 27, 1930 in Detroit. Mrs. Fernando was a graduate of McKenzie High School in Detroit and Wayne State University. She was a travel agent and enjoyed traveling. She is survived by her children, Diana L. Edwin Lohmeyer of Vienna, VA and Eric R. Mindy Fernando of Franklin; stepchildren, Dr. Sonia Fernando of Bloomfield Hills and Emanuel Fernando of Los Angeles, CA; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Oscar Fernando, in 2004. The visitation will be held Thursday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. The service will be Friday 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Hall officiating. The burial will take place at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Redford.
