Adrienne Kay Olcott, age 78, a resident of Royal Oak for more than 50 years, died October 13, 2009 at the Hospice House in Traverse City. She was born November 8, 1930 in Marinette, WI. Mrs. Olcott was a graduate of Florida State University. She was a retired school teacher who taught in Prairie du Sac, WI. She was the past PTA president of Royal Oak Schools: Kimball, Mary Lyons and Oakridge. She was a member of the Orson Starr House Guild since 1978 and the Republican Ladies Club. Mrs. Olcott loved to read, do crossword puzzles and spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Susan Lense of Columbus, OH, Timothy Paula Olcott of Maple Valley, WA and Megen Don Spencer of Kalkaska; siblings, Muriel Robert Spielvogel of Wauwatosa, WI and Margaret James Kiefer of Mesa, AZ; and grandchildren, Jarrett and Kaleb Spencer of Kalkaska. Mrs. Olcott was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold O. Olcott, on March 6, 2004. The couple were married September 5, 1953 in Menominee, MI. The visitation will be held Friday 4-7 p.m. and the service Saturday 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak, with the Rev.
